World War One

Imagine  if you got trench foot and had to have your feet cut off?.

There are many reasons why  I think we shouldnt have war and one of them is because too many people die. Why do we still remember the soldiers that went to Gallipoli when it was 100 years back, some may say.

Here are some sad facts about the war: Soldier's feet rotted in winter because it was so wet and muddy,it was called, Trench foot. Eight million horses went to war and only two million came back. In the first few months of  World War 1 one million men and boys had entered the war. Some rats grew up to the size of cats in the war. In winter some trenches looked more like a swamp than a trench.

According to the book, nice day for a war, soldiers died of the colds, fever and bullets.

Would you be able to put up with all of this for your country?.
